Ding Dong drops ‘Danca Bwoy’

Renowned dancehall artist Kemar Christopher Dwaine Ottey, popularly known as Ding Dong, has set the dancehall scene abuzz with his latest single, “Danca Bwoy.”

“The track, which delves into Ding Dong’s journey in the music industry, highlights his achievements and addresses the criticisms he has faced throughout his career,” Jamaican-born entertainment publicist Ronnie Tomlinson told Caribbean Life on Tuesday. 

“Through ‘Danca Bwoy,’ Ding Dong sheds light on the nickname bestowed upon him by many in the industry, reflecting on the negative side of the moniker, while providing a rebuttal by highlighting his numerous hit singles, corporate endorsements, and groundbreaking dances that have reshaped the dancehall culture,” added the Brooklyn resident, who serves as CEO of Destine Media. “The song serves as a bold response to critics who underestimate his influence in the genre.”
