West Indies women remain unbeaten

West Indies Women boosted their hopes of reaching the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semifinals with a thrilling seven-run win against Scotland Women.
After being sent in to bat, veteran batter Stafanie Taylor played a crucial role in the innings scoring 47 from just 19 balls, after a shaky start to help lift the West Indies to 153 for six from their 20 overs.
West Indies Women then held their nerve to bowl out Scotland for 146 off the final ball and secure victory, despite half-centuries from Darcey Carter and Ailsa Lister.
The win moved the Windies to second in Group B with two wins from two matches, behind England on net run rate.
Scotland looked in control early in the chase after openers Carter and Katherine Fraser raced to 51 runs in the first five overs.

Sarah Bryce then fell for four, before Matthews trapped Megan McColl lbw for one, leaving Scotland struggling at 58 for four in the eighth over.
West Indies looked set for a comfortable win after Afy Fletcher dismissed Priyanaz Chatterji to reduce Scotland to 74 for five, but Darcey Carter and Ailsa Lister revived the chase with a crucial 58-run sixth-wicket partnership.
Carter battled through a leg injury to score her 10th T20I half-century, reaching the milestone off 53 balls.
Despite a difficult 17th over from Deandra Dottin, West Indies regained control as Aaliyah Alleyne dismissed Darcey Carter, Ailsa Lister and Kirstie Gordon in a decisive penultimate over.
Qiana Joseph then restricted Scotland for 146 when she dismissed Rachel Slater and had last batter Gabriella Fontenla run out off the last ball in the final over.
