West Indies in Sri Lanka for two Tests

The West Indies cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka for two Test matches starting this weekend.
Both Tests will be played at the Galle International Stadium in Colombo.
The West Indies will play a warm-up match from Nov. 14-17 followed by the first Test on Nov. 21-25 and the second Test from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.
Originally scheduled to be played in October and November 2022, the tour was brought forward to be played after the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The series is the second of six series, three at home and three away, West Indies will play in the 2021-2023 ICC World Test Championship.

The West Indies selectors have called up Trinidad and Tobago opening batsman Jeremy Solozano to the 15-man squad.

Chief Selector Roger Harper is hoping that Solozano, who will  be making his debut can be the answer to the Windies top order woes in the format.
Harper said; ” He has represented the West Indies “A” team level with success and the opening partnership has been an issue for the Test team for a while and we have been searching for an ideal partner for Captain Kraigg Brathwaite.”
Solozano has played 40 first-class matches, scoring 1,686 runs with two centuries and eight half centuries.
