West Indies faces hectic schedule

West Indies will have a hectic international home itinerary for the remainder of the year, with South Africa, Australia and Pakistan schedule to play a myriad of Tests, One-day Internationals Twenty 20 Internationals across five Caribbean countries in the space of three months.
Trinidad and Tobago was being tipped to host the South Africa series.
However, the recent surge in Covid-19 infections have caused Cricket West Indies (CWI) to adjust its plans.
South Africa will now play its two Tests in St. Lucia in June before playing five T20s in Grenada to kick off the busiest domestic programs in recent memory.
In July, Australia will engage the West Indies in five T20s in St. Lucia and host the first two ODIs in Barbados, which will then host the first two T20s of the five-match series against Pakistan, with Guyana staging the last three.
Jamaica will bring down the curtain on the international schedule by staging two Tests against Pakistan in August.
The tours will take place in the now customary bio-secure bubble amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
CWI CEO Johnny Grave described the undertaking as “enormous.”
