Universal Hall Rental reopens for business

Andre and Stacy-Ann Noble, proprietors of Universal Hall Rental, are ecstatic to welcome back patrons, to their seven banquet halls in Brooklyn, that were shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During a recent tour of their 3500sq. ft. Studio Seven One Eight space, at 922 Remsen Ave., the Guyanese and Jamaican couple, told Caribbean Life that their facilities are 75 percent booked through the summer season.

Known for hosting themed birthday parties, weddings, repasts, baby showers, gender reveal parties, among other events, the husband and wife team has kept busy pre-coronavirus pandemic, since starting their business 19 years ago.

In addition to “Studio Seven One Eight” patrons could book, the Naomi Suite and the Burchell’s Suite, at 8926 Ave. D, the Universal Palace at 9302 Ditmas Ave., the Lower Level at 924 Remsen Ave., and the Pex Event Space at 1956 Utica Ave.

Since a recent announcement by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that restrictions will be lifted, allowing, 50 percent occupancy at events, with Covid-19 guidelines in place, the business owners have been bombarded with calls from supporters, who are eager to host functions, brought to a halt, by the pandemic that killed millions.

Mrs. Noble, general manager (stacy.universalhallrental@gmail.com) shares ideas for décor and helps customers choose the best space available, depending on their occasion. She also encourages persons to get vaccinated, noting that being inoculated makes everyone and others around them, feel comfortable, while wearing a mask, and staying six feet apart.

“People don’t mind taking the vaccine. Many of my friends have already have,” she shared, adding, that Universal Hall Rental has employed extra staff to ensure temperatures are checked, as part of the overall protocol.

The general manager, whose office is conveniently located at 922 Remsen Ave., said she was technology savvy, and responded promptly to all queries. She welcomes customers for personal tours of the spaces that are shown on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Each person is allowed to view four halls during one visit.

Each hall has an adequate drinks bar as well as serving facilities in order for customers to bring in their own catering and sip.

The halls are beautifully decorated with floral arrangements, colorful lighting, and elegant seating, for an elegant experience.

Mr. Noble, who founded the business, and operated “Ground Zero” a basement banquet hall in 2000, before opening Universal Resort, at 4897 Church Ave., now owns a conglomerate.

He said he manages his businesses effortlessly, using remote access technology that allows prospective clients access to the buildings without him being there.

This process helps the rental business to run seamlessly, especially during these times, when life seems to be getting back to normal, after the locations were shutdown from March 14, 2020.

Venue pricing is based on the type of event and day of the week. In addition, events booked at any of the venues are reserved on a first come first served basis, unless otherwise agreed upon, according to the website: www.universalhallrental.com

Some of the amenities and add-ons include catering packages, round or rectangular tables and crystal ice Chiavari chairs, decoration packages, photographer and videographer, throne chairs, loveseats, Chaises Security Guards, servers and dee jay equipment, and other services.
