MC Nuffy hails UK tour success

Vybz Kartel’s official hype man, MC Nuffy, is in celebratory mode following a successful United Kingdom tour alongside award-winning New Jersey-based DJ Ras Emmanuel and dancehall artist Marcy Chin.
“It’s a pleasure being in the UK,” Nuffy told Caribbean Life on Tuesday, April 14, 2025. “I have to tell the fans and the promoters a lot of thanks… I love the support from them.”
Returning to the UK for the first time since November, Nuffy said he came armed with new music.
“I have a new song out right now, which is ‘Pon Di Grung’, and another one titled ‘Ready Now,’” he said.
But beyond his own catalog, Nuffy made it clear that one of the standout elements of the tour was Ras Emmanuel’s strong performances and the growing impact of his new hit song “Drinky Drinky.”
“Ras Emmanuel is my brother. He is a great youth. The song ‘Drinky Drinky’, great thing man,” Nuffy said.
Built on DJ Mac’s popular WYFL dancehall juggling riddim that features top-tier artists like Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Chronic Law, Valiant, Anthony B,  Skippa, Nigy Boy, and Skeng, Emmanuel emphasized that “Drinky Drinky” has been gaining traction not just in clubs but across radio and social media platforms.
When describing Emmanuel’s stage presence, Nuffy didn’t hold back.
“When it comes to Ras Emmanuel, he is not normal on stage — pure energy. Him turn up the whole place,” Nuffy said.
“We combine properly on the road,” he added. “We know each other,” he added.
Ras Emmanuel said that the tour made stops in East London, Birmingham, and Luton.

“It was great being on the road with Nuffy,” he said. “They attach a new name to me – ‘Drinky Drinky’. They call me the ‘Drinky Drinky, Drunken Master.’”
Built on the WIFI riddim, Jamaican-born, New York-based entertainment promoter Anthony “ER Guru” Turner said “Drinky Drinky” has been gaining traction not just in clubs but across radio platforms.

While in England, he said Ras Emmanuel made an appearance on the popular AG Live road show and did a radio interview on the Robbo Ranx radio show, both of which he credited as major highlights.
“My biggest accomplishment on the trip was the interview and performance I did with AG,” Ras Emmanuel said. “It was a big audience.”
Looking ahead, MC Nuffy said he is already planning his next moves, with ambitions to expand beyond the USA and Europe.
He also hinted at future performances on major stages, including Jamaica’s biggest reggae showcase, Reggae Sumfest.
Ras Emmanuel also expressed interest in performing at Reggae Sumfest 2026, which will be headlined by Vybz Kartel and Mavado on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Plantation Cove in St. Ann, Jamaica.
“For now, however, the UK tour for Ras Emmanuel and MC Nuffy stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, consistency, and crowd connection and is anchored by high-energy performances and music that resonates across borders,” Turner said.
