Machel Montano, Sadhguru at Kaieteur Falls to promote Save Soil

International Soca artist, Machel Montano took a break from making infectious rhythms for a recent spiritual trek to Guyana’s majestic Kaieteur Falls — the world’s largest single drop waterfall by the volume of water flowing over it, located on the Potaro River in Kaieteur National Park.

Montano, a self-professed yogi, along with world-famous yoga and spiritual master, Sadhguru of India, accompanied by Guyana Minister of Tourism, Oneidge Walrond, and a group of tour guides, was seen in a picture standing against the powerful falls that sits in a section of the Amazon rainforest included in the Pataro-Siparuni region of the republic.

The Trinidadian, known for high-impact, unprecedented, and exciting performances on stage, and whose, “Like A Boss,” “Mr. Fete,” “Party Done” and “Bend Down Pause,” among many others, continue to excite the world, stopped in Guyana as one of the countries on his Caribbean tour of the mystic’s global tour to promote Conscious Planet’s Save Soil movement.

The tour is to raise awareness and to encourage government policy action to save and revitalize the soil.

The songwriter, who composed, “Touch the Ground,” dedicated the Soca rhythm to the Save Soil movement, which he premiered at MahShivRatri, performing before more than 120 million people – in-person and online, according to Loop online, was photographed with the tourism minister holding up a cloth sign that says “Save Soil,” in the Kaieteur Falls Park.

Montano and Sadhguru also visited President Irfaan Ali at the head-of-state’s residence in Georgetown.
