Brooklyn District Attorney, Eric Gonzalez is collaborating with several agencies, to host a Cash and iPad for Guns initiative, on Saturday, May 21, as politicians and the New York Police Department ramp-up ways to end gun violence that continues to disrupt communities across America.

The no questions asked, one-day gun giveback will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 279 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn. The event will run from 10 am – 4 pm.

Sponsored by the Kings County DA’s Office, the New York City Police Department, NYC Police Foundation and Junior’s Restaurant & Bakery, the initiative will give persons an opportunity to hand over weapons in return for one iPad per person, subject to availability on a first-come first-served basis.

Others will receive a $200 bank card and iPad for operable handguns and assault rifles. A $25 bank card will be handed over for rifles, shotguns and air guns.
