โ€˜BLESS THE YAADโ€™

Streaming platform Audiomack is an influential presence in the digital music industry. The business is all about supporting talent, focusing almost exclusively on new, independent and up-and-coming artists.

โ€œThe user-friendly dynamic makes it a go-to for uploading audio to listeners worldwide across its mobile apps and site,โ€ said Sarah A. Freiseis, special projects manager for the Brooklyn-based entertainment company, PlaybookMG.

โ€œAudiomack has expanded with original content, and the entertainment giant now has roughly 12.5 million daily active users,โ€ Freiseis told Caribbean Life on Wednesday, stating that the latest addition to the line-up is for a new Audiomack Caribbean segment called โ€œBless the Yaad.โ€

โ€œThe purpose of โ€˜Bless the Yaadโ€™ is to showcase the hottest artists out of Jamaica, those with buzz and currently trending,โ€ she continued.

Freiseis said rising stars Dโ€™yani, Intence, Chronic Law, TeeJay and Nklyne, among others, are in the series.

โ€œIt was built off the framework for the program โ€˜Bless the Boothโ€™, which debuted in 2015 and featured artists including King Von, Bizzy Banks, Abby Jasmine, Meg the Stallion and Fivio Foreign,โ€ she said. โ€œBoth provide the opportunity to showcase versatility on the mic, and, as a byproduct, is a helpful marketing tool.โ€

Freiseis said a new drop is scheduled every Wednesday for the next several months.

On the premiere episode of โ€œBless The Yaad,โ€ Spanish Town, Jamaica native Dโ€™Yani showcases his distinctive fusion of reggae, dancehall and soul music, according to Audiomack.

Since 2016, Dโ€™Yani has been cultivating his own brand of โ€œexpressive riddims, coated in inspirational themes and an overall infatuation with love,โ€ Audiomack said.

โ€œRiding the wave of a handful of singles released this year, watch Dโ€™Yani โ€˜Bless The Yaadโ€™ and inform fans and curious listeners alike why heโ€™s an anomaly,โ€ it said.

Shot by Sage English at the Reggae Legends Villa in Kingston, the Jamaican capital, Audiomack said โ€œโ€™Bless The Yaadโ€™ puts the poetic mastery of Caribbean talent, both established and on the rise, on the forefront.โ€
