WINDIES WINS ONE

West Indies bounced back in the final three-match against New Zealand on Sunday after an embarrassing 90-run loss in the second T20 International series against the West Indies at Sabina Park, Jamaica last Friday, clinching the series with a two-match lead.
In the second T20 International on Friday, the West Indies managed only 125-9 in reply to New Zealand score of 215 for 9 after choosing to bat first.
The team under vice-captain Roman Powell, who replaced Nicolas Pooran, played more than one spinner for the first time in the series and their bowlers flourished on a slow pitch at Sabina Park.

Brandon King and Shamarh Brooks shared an opening 102 partnership as West Indies struck a winning formula at last, beating the Kiwis by 8 wickets in the third T20 international to prevent a clean sweep of the three-match series.

New Zealand made only 145 for 7 after winning the tips, falling well short of their 185-5 in the first match and 215-5 in the second one.
The West Indies innings stood in complete contrast with the opening partnership between King and Brooks occupying 13.1 overs and making the result a forgone conclusion with the 102 partnership.
