West Indies won the first of the two Test series against Bangladesh in Antigua on Sunday, June 19.

John Campbell struck his third Test half century but his first in 16 innings as West Indies required just shy of half an hour to complete a seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the opening Test on Sunday.

Resuming the fourth morning at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium on 49 for 3 and requiring only 35 for victory, West Indies cantered to their target in seven overs without loss, with Campbell punching an unbeaten 58.

Vice captain Jermaine Blackwood finished on 28 not out.

Helping to anchor a 79 runs stand which pulled West Indies from the dire straight of 9 for 3 late on Saturday’s third day, when seamer Kalahed Ahamed (3-27) skittled through the top order.
The victory gave the West Indies a 1-0 lead in the two Test Series.
The West Indies had bowled out Bangladesh for 103 in their first innings.
Fast bowler Kemar Roach was named Man-of-the-Match for his seven-wicket haul, including his five-wicket haul on Saturday, which strengthened West Indies hold on the contest.
