WI Women’s captain out ODI series

West Indies Women Captain, Stafanie Taylor has pulled out of the five-match One-Day International series against South Africa Women, which bowled off in Antigua last week. She has since returned to her home in Jamaica.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced that the talismanic all-rounder would be unavailable after taking “a personal leave of absence.”
Taylor also missed the three-match Twenty20 series recently when she was forced to isolate after being identified as a primary contact of a positive case COVID-19 case in Jamaica.
The 12-member team is being captained by off-spinner Anisa Mohamed.
Taylor, 30, a top order batsman who bowls off-spin, is the Caribbean side’s most experienced ODI player with 4,929 runs at an average of nearly 45 and 145 wickets at 21 runs apiece.
Experienced allrounder Deandra Dottin will serve as vice-captain with the core of the squad from the preceding three-match Twenty20 series retained.
The West Indies  Women, under coach Courtney Walsh, are currently preparing for the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe from Nov. 21 to Dec. 5.
