Women’s History Month 2025 celebrates ‘Moving Forward Together, Women Educating & Inspiring Generations’

According to women’s organizations, women across America will be decked out in elegant attire in purple, green, and white, colors with significant and historical roots that carry important psychological meanings that continue to inspire them daily.
The United States proclaimed March 1987 National Women’s History Month to pay extra attention to the amazing accomplishments of strong, determined women. Today, women continue to excel in every profession, many of which were once dominated by men.
Starting on March 1, families will enjoy a calendar of exciting, educational, and entertaining events to celebrate the renowned month.
Here are some of these events.
Join the NYC Urban Park Rangers at Prospect Park, Brooklyn, on March 1 as they highlight generations of female influence in parks at the Historic Female Monuments in the Parks event.
Participants will have an opportunity to design their empowering monument. The 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. event is free and will be held at the White Levy Esplanade in Prospect Park. Directions to this location: To learn more, call 646-398-1479.
A dance night will give music lovers an opportunity on March 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., to groove to the funky beats of the 70s while celebrating women’s empowerment at a dance-filled event for women of all ages. The shindig will occur at Goldy’s Gems, 5 Third Ave., Bay Shore, NY.
Tickets include food, beer, wine, baskets and 50-50.
Participants are coming together to celebrate women’s strength, resilience, and empowerment on the dance floor. All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Empowerment Scholarship Fund at Bay Shore High School.
Women in Wellness Summit will welcome patrons on March 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for an hours-long networking event that will offer a relaxed space to connect, build relationships, and enjoy refreshments.
The speaking portion of the event will feature insightful discussions by panelists who will share their experiences and expertise, providing attendees with inspiration and practical advice on wellness, mental health, and entrepreneurship. The event will be held at Arlo Williamsburg, 96 Wythe Ave., Brooklyn.

A GLITZ—GLAM—GIVE event will celebrate the 7th Annual Women’s History Month Brunch on Saturday, March 8, at St. Patrick’s Aldo Bruschi Auditorium, located at 97th Street and 4th Avenue, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The event is a fabulous celebration of women.

March 8 is Women’s International Day; the occasion will be observed with an exclusive brunch in the East Village, 14 6th Ave., New York, NY, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Patrons are invited to enjoy an afternoon of laughter, inspiration, and camaraderie to honor the spirit of International Women’s Day. People are asked to bring a story, quote, or toast to share to celebrate the women who inspire them.

A women’s show celebrating art & empowerment on International Women’s Month, will be held on March 8, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The special celebration of the Women’s Show, honoring creativity, empowerment, and artistic expression, will accelerate action, elevate voices, and celebrate women in the arts. It will be held at Awita New York Studio, located at 274 S. Second St., Brooklyn.
A Women’s Month Celebration of Women Authors will honor female writers through discussions and readings from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Attendees will experience the incredible contributions of women authors. This wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity, talent, and diversity of women writers from all backgrounds is being showcased at Faith Tabernacle, located at 94 Lexington Ave. in Brooklyn.
A W.O.W. Brunch, “Walk in Your Purpose,” led by Tabitha Azore and the Ministry, which includes Sonia Patrice, Elizabeth Joseph, Christina Townsend, and Edeline Sandaire, will inspire women to walk in their God-given purpose during a March 15 gathering.
The event will be held at 5212 Avenue N, Brooklyn, at 1 p.m., with Doors opening at 12:30 p.m.
Warrior Women in Business will host a Women Strength & Beauty WHM celebration on March 21 at the Pink Frog Café, 221 N 9th St., Brooklyn.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes the opportunity to perform. A Warrior Woman pin, live musical performances by top NYC female artists, and other entertainment will celebrate the event. A $20 donation will be accepted.
Brooklyn Music School will welcome patrons to a Women’s History Month Concert at its 126 Saint Felix St. location on March 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Ultimate Girl Boss will host an Empowerment Brunch on March 22 at Aloft Harlem, 2296 Frederick Douglass Blvd. NYC, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The group will host “I Am Her: Women’s Empowerment Brunch” on March 29 at 3 p.m. at the same location.
This event celebrates the strength and resilience of women from all walks of life. Delicious food, engaging speakers, and networking opportunities with like-minded individuals will highlight the presentation. The women will uplift and support each other as they embrace their power and potential.
The Reach Out & Touch Kingdom Building Ministries, located at 51 Cottage Place Staten Island, will host a Women’s Empowerment Brunch on March 22 from 10 a.m. – to 1 p.m.
The enchanting morning of connection, conversation, and empowerment at the Inaugural event will welcome mental health professionals and advocates who will share their struggles with anxiety and depression in a way that inspires and promotes growth.
Speakers will give insights and tips on how to manage business leaders’ stress and ways to overcome any mental health challenges they may be facing.
