West Indies set for hectic 2022
Cricket West Indies (CWI) CEO, Johnny Grave said the series against Ireland in January would be the start of a very busy year for us at CWI, as we host several international teams as well as the ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Following the Ireland tour West Indies will engage on a “white-ball ” tour of India in February. They will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) on Feb.6, 9, 12 and as many Twenty20 Internationals on Feb. 15, 18 and 20.
The West Indies is set to host England in five Twenty20 Internationals in late January.
England will return to the West Indies in March for three Tests.
England will play a five-match Twenty20 International against the West Indies in Barbados before competing in three Tests across Antigua, Grenada, and Barbados at the start of 2022.
All five Twenty20s will be played over nine days between Jan. 22-30.
England will visit to compete on the newly created Richards-Bootham Trophy in honor of two great friends, Vivian Richards and Ian Boothman.
Matches are to be played in Antigua, and Barbados with Barbados set to host the second Test and Grenada will host the final of the three-match series on March 16.
