Unvaccinated fans not allowed in venues for WI/England series

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has reminded spectators that in keeping with recent policy in matches staged in Grenada and St. Lucia last year, only those who had been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus will be allowed in venues where matches between West Indies and England will be played later this month.

CWI said in a statement that fully vaccinated spectators will be required to bring their vaccination document with them to be assured entry.

Historic Kensington Oval in Barbados will host the T20 series from January 22 to 30 before England’s Test team returns to the Caribbean in March for fixtures at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua from March 8-12, Kensington Oval from March 16-20 and Grenada National Stadium from March 24-28.

The games are expected to inject much-needed tourist spend in the islands’ economies as thousands of English supporters look to make their first overseas trip to follow the team.
