TT Red Force Women secures Super50 Title

T&T Red Force Women lifted the 2025 CG United Super50 Cup after defeating Barbados by seven wickets in the final at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

Superb bowling from spinners Anisa Mohammed with 3/17, skipper Karishma Ramharack with 2/12, and 15-year-old fast bowler Amrita Ramtahal with 2/5 dismantled Barbados women for 71 all out from 29 overs.

Batting first, Barbados’ Asabi Callender, who made 28, and Trishan Holder, with 15, were the only batters to make double-figures. Ramharack’s two scalps were West Indies siblings Kycia and Kyshona Knight.

In reply, T&T openers Djenaba Joseph, with 28, and Shunelle Sawh, on 9, had a 21-run partnership before Sawh was caught by Callender off Shamilia Connell. Joseph and Britney Cooper, who made 17, teamed up for a 41-run partnership, which carried T&T to 62 runs from 20 overs.

However, Connell struck again and had Cooper caught by Aaliyah Alleyne.

T&T cruised to an easy victory, needing just 10 runs from 30 overs, even though Joseph departed by being caught and bowled by Keila Elliott with only three runs to go.

Lee-Ann Kirby, six not out, and former West Indies vice-captain Mohammed (one not out) led T&T to their first women’s Super50 Cup title since 2017 without hesitating.

Skipper Ramharack was elated to end the title drought and said their preparation paid off.

“We planned and prepared well. Every game, we sat down as a team and identified who were our threats, and we were able to execute every single time we came out,” Ramharack said in the post-match media conference. “Our bowlers were on target every single time, and I must commend them for the great job they’ve done throughout the tournament.”

West Indies and TT player Joseph said her goal was to bat until the end despite her being dismissed just on the brink of victory.

“I just went out there and tried to back myself and play as straight as possible when I went in. Playing straight was the main thing as it was a really small total, so it was just to stay and bat until the end.”
