Sen. Parker donates over 1,000 toys at 21st District annual free Toys for Tots giveaway

In the spirit of giving and community, New York State Sen. Kevin Parker is proud to announce the success of the 21st Annual Free Toys for Tots Giveaway. This year, the Senator and his team distributed over 1,000 toys to local families, churches, daycares, and organizations, ensuring that children in our community have a safe and joyful holiday season.

The Dec. 20, 2024, distribution at the Senator’s district office on Tilden Ave in Brooklyn, NY, was open to local constituents and community groups. This annual tradition has become a cornerstone of Se. Parker’s commitment to supporting the families in his district by providing much-needed assistance to ensure every child experiences the magic of the holiday season.

Sen. Parker  is intimately familiar with the needs of his ethnically diverse Brooklyn district comprising sections of Flatbush, East Flatbush, Kensington, Ditmas Park, Midwood, Flatlands, Canarsie, Georgetown, Old Mill Basin, Mill Basin, Marine Park, and Bergen Beach. “I am thrilled to continue this tradition of giving back to our community for the 21st year,” said Sen. Parker. Noble James Vaugh of Medina Temple #19 accompanied Sen Parker to the event.

“This event is more than just about toys; it’s about creating an opportunity for families to come together, celebrate, and experience the joy of the season. By supporting our local community, we can make sure no child is left out during the holidays.”

The politician, who is the chairman of the Senate Energy and Telecommunications Committee and sits on the Senate Finance, Rules, Banks, Internet and Technology, Rules, and Budget and Revenue committees, said the toys were distributed to various local organizations that serve families in need, including churches, daycare centers, and community groups.

Sen. Parker’s office has worked closely with these organizations to ensure that the toys go directly to the children who benefit most.

The Toys for Tots Giveaway has become a beloved tradition and has grown yearly as more families and organizations come together to spread holiday cheer. This year, besides the toys, Sen. Parker’s office provided resources to local organizations to ensure a safe and fun holiday season for all families.

“We know that the holidays can be a challenging time for many families,” Sen. Parker added. “Our hope is that these toys bring smiles to children’s faces and ease the burden for parents and caregivers. I’m proud to be part of a community that cares deeply for one another.”
