Nigy Boy drops new single

Visually imparted Jamaican singer, Nigy Boy is still on a musical high after a recent Instagram endorsement from R&B superstar Chris Brown.
โ€œI was actually vacationing on the beach in Portland, Jamaica, when Chris Brown made the Instagram post,โ€ Nigy Boy told Caribbean Life on Wednesday. โ€œWhen I took out my phone, it started pinging non-stop with notification messages. I saw I had missed calls on Whatsapp, Messenger and straight calls from the US.
โ€œWhen I opened Whatsapp, I saw a message from my mother; she watches everything I do,โ€ he added. โ€œI saw her share a repost from Chris Brownโ€™s Instagram story. I said โ€˜what? Am I reading this right?โ€™ When I checked out the page, I saw the post saying โ€˜this brother is super rawโ€™ with tons of fire emojisโ€™.
โ€œOne friend told me, โ€˜yuh nuh see Breezie post you. Yuh reach next level now,.’โ€ Nigy Boy continued. โ€œIt was exhilarating to know that I have managed to reach people on this level.โ€

Nygy Boy has also received thumbs up from Jamaican pop/dancehall sensation Shenseea, Karnium and even girls magnet Dexta Daps, who invited him on stage at two summer performances in Brooklyn and Connecticut, where he nearly upstaged the โ€˜7 Elevenโ€™ singjay.
To harness all this recent attention, the 21-year-old visually impaired singer โ€“ whose mother was told by doctors that he would not survive outside of the womb โ€“ is releasing a new single titled โ€œLover Not A Fighter.โ€
The song, his third original, was produced by Drew Da Producer and follows on the success of previous singles, โ€œYou And Iโ€, and โ€œSuperwomanโ€, which was dedicated to his mom.
On Sunday, Nov. 13, Nigy Boy has his biggest outing to date, an up-close and personal performance at Blue & Bougie, the upscale party series slated for the elegant Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, NY.
โ€œWe felt compelled to book Nigy Boy for this gig, given his exceptional talent as a singer, songwriter, and stage performer and for igniting social media platforms with his incredible talent,โ€ Blue & Bougie Executive Jerry McDonald told Caribbean Life.
โ€œWe see him as a rising star and feel confident that he will become a household name, not just in reggae circles but in mainstream America, given that his talent is already being compared to hit makers The Weekend, Usher and even Stevie Wonder,โ€ he added.
Earlier this year, Blue & Bougie executives honored Jamerican actor Nick Creegan as the recipient of the 2022 Blue & Bougie Impact Award.
Creegan, who was born and raised in White Plains, NY, is a proud Jamerican. His mother is from Jackโ€™s River in St. Mary, Jamaica.
Other Blue & Bougie honorees include Safaree: Love & Hip Hop, NY TV star; DJ Bounty Killa, singer Nadine Sutherland; Grammy-nominated music producer and music executive Cristy Barber, and radio broadcaster Kurt Riley.
