More fans allowed at Kensington for WI-England Test

More cricket fans will get the opportunity to attend the second match of the Apex Test Series between West Indies and England at Kensington Oval, Barbados next month.
Officials are increasing the allowed capacity to 80 percent, still with only vaccinated spectators.
Minister of Health, Ian Gooding-Edghill, in making the announcement at a press conference last week said public health officials had indicated that outdoor open air events would not pose a significant threat to public health once COVID-19 protocols were followed.

Kensington Oval operated at 50 percent capacity for the five-match Betway Twenty20 series which West Indies won 3-2 against England recently.

England will return to the West Indies in March for the three-match Apex Test Series as the teams play for the newly minted Richards-Bootham Trophy named in honor of legends Sir Vivian Richards and Lord Ian Bootham.
The series open at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from March 8-11, followed by the second contest at Kensington Oval in Barbados from March 16-20. The final match scheduled for March 24-28 will be played at the National Stadium in Grenada.
