Megan Ryte enlists Kranium for ‘Fly’
Crooner Kranium has joined Hot 97’s Megan Ryte for a multi-artist collaborative feature, including the single “Fly,” according to PlaybookMG.
The Brooklyn-based entertainment company told Caribbean Life on Wednesday that Ryte, who will be releasing her debut album on April 16, teased three singles last week to include the track “Fly” with Kranium, Cassanova and Rich the Kid.
“Megan is playing her strengths and letting people know that she’s serious about her music career and creating hype for the upcoming album,” said PlaybookMG’s Dayna Smith.
“Kranium’s vocals create an island vibe that makes you know the warm beach weather is approaching,” she added. “’Fly’ is undeniably a summer record with a feel-good melody.”
Smith said the song entails “jet-setting lifestyle when traveling with your girl, better known as a ‘baecation.’
“He is known for his lyrics on relationships and kept that same theme on ‘Fly,’” Smith said.
She said the accompanying music video is also out, showcasing the collaboration in “a casual New York city setting”: https://youtu.be/uOqiEk5mfD8
Smith noted this new single comes after Kranium’s EP “Toxic,” which was released earlier this year under Atlantic Records.
Known as the “Melody Gad,” Smith said Kranium has been “making strides within the Dancehall and Reggae community.”
His notable collaborations are with Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, and Burna Boy, among others, Smith said.
