Keren Espinoza: A beacon of hope for underprivileged children

Keren Espinoza, a Trinidadian migrant, has emerged as a compassionate and dedicated advocate for underprivileged children worldwide. Her journey, from her humble beginnings to building a successful business empire, is a testament to her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact.

Businesses, including Flavors Driving School and Mrs Flavors Med Spa, are in Queens, New York. Espinoza’s entrepreneurial spirit has been instrumental in her philanthropic endeavors. Since 2015, she has embarked on a transformative journey, traveling to Haiti, Trinidad, and beyond to support those in need in her efforts to help children, which her mother inspires.

“My mom, who is disabled, is my inspiration for doing the work I do to help others. She was disabled since I was a little girl, and she would still reach out to help others. I grew up in a charitable home, so I’m just following her path, and I do the same,” she explained.

Her efforts led to establishment the non-profit foundation “Help Us Help The World Foundation,” which unites a dedicated Board of Directors in a global mission to uplift underprivileged children. In Haiti, Espinoza’s impactful mission has touched the lives of over 1,000 disadvantaged children annually. She fearlessly walks the streets of Cite Soleil, where few dare to tread, to provide food and clothing to needy children.

Trinidad, her homeland, holds a special place in Espinoza’s heart. There, she focuses on aiding children with disabilities at the Lady Hochoy Home & Allison Lynch Home. Her collaboration with Television personality Ian Alleyne in providing flood relief in Trinidad in 2018 showcased her dedication to helping communities during challenging times.

Espinoza’s compassion knows no borders, extending to Guyana, where she supports disabled children and displaced families with medical funding, clothing, and supplies. She has further expanded the foundation’s impact by contributing to disaster relief efforts worldwide, including after the 2021 Haiti earthquake, the 2021 eruption of the volcano in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the 2018 flood in Trinidad, and Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas in 2019.

Closer to home, Keren’s commitment to her community in Richmond Hill & Ozone Park, Queens, remained unwavering. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she organized care package deliveries and food distributions, ensuring needy families received support during challenging times.

Through her annual events such as “Make a Wish Come True” and Christmas toy distributions, Keren continues to spread joy and hope to over 2000 less fortunate kids in the Richmond Hill area. Her driving school serves as a hub for donations, providing a lifeline for those in need within the community.

Supported by her fiancé, Richard, dedicated supporters, board of directors, and collaborators, Keren’s dream of creating a better world for children has become a reality. On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate Keren Espinoza as an extraordinary woman whose efforts continue to uplift the lives of those in need and inspire others to make a difference.

“My main focus is, you know, no kids should be supposed to be on the streets, and if we can help in that way, I intend to keep doing this until the end of time. This is my purpose…I love helping. I love giving. I love seeing our elders smile.

She expressed gratitude to the numerous businesses and individuals, including her fantastic team, who continue to support her and are helping tremendously to make a difference in the lives of many.
