Jamaican sprinter Fraser-Pryce eyes world record this season

Jamaican superstar sprinter, Shelly-Ann Fraser won the women’s 100m in a world-leading time of 10.67 seconds in Nairobi last week, is a contender for yet another gold at the world championships in Eugene, Oregon in July.
Fraser-Pryce is preparing for her World title defense and is eyeing a world record at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Fraser-Prycer won easily as Namibian teenager Christine Mboma, the Olympic 200 metres silver medalist, pulled up with injury around the 50-meter mark and then fell.
At age 35, Fraser-Pryce is in the twilight of her career but has shown little signs of decline.
And while no woman has dipped below 10.50 seconds in 34 years, Fraser-Prycer said she was upbeat about her chances doing so.
Her stellar career has seen her win two Olympic 100 meters title and four World 100 meters crown, the last of which came three years ago in Doha.
