Guyana’s Access to Info Act needs fundamental reform

In a report released on May 1st, the Media Institute of the Caribbean (MIC) says that Guyana’s Access to Information Act needs fundamental reform to comply with the tenets of the extant model legislation and it recommended that information officers be appointed at each public entity to handle applications.
