Hip Hop culture celebrated 50 years of innovative music and Raymour & Flanigan Harlem, is part of the celebration. Roz Live has partnered with the nationally known furniture store to produce the Connie Kennedy Talk Show. Kennedy is a Harlem socialite and self-proclaimed advocate for solutions to healthy living.
Kennedy’s show will feature local and national guests with varied topics like Celebrity Buzz by Harlemwood Glamour and maintaining mental health with Dr. Jeff. Kennedy’s first promotional show featured the Godfather of Hip Hop DJ Hollywood and New York legendary Top Club DJ Eddie Cheeba. The 125th Street Raymour & Flanigan store presented the perfect talk show back drop for the story of how DJ Hollywood became the first Hip Hop DJ to headline the Apollo Theater, prior to his signing with CBS Records.
According to People, John Boyega has revealed that his “They Cloned Tyrone” co-star Jamie Foxx has “finally picked up the phone” and is “doing well” in the midst of his health crisis. At the American Black Film Festival, Boyega recently said he had been unable to reach the Oscar winning actor. However, Boyega told People, “He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro. He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy and we can’t wait for his return. I gave him the well wishes directly. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you bro.”
Meanwhile, Datari Turner, who co-produced “They Cloned Tyrone” with Foxx said, “He’s doing amazing. I promise you. Doing really, really good. Director Joel Taylor talked to him yesterday.”
