CWI pays tribute to Easton McMorris
Cricket West Indies (CWI) paid tribute to former Jamaica captain and West Indies batsman, Easton Dudley Ashley St John McMorris who died recently at the age of 86.
CWI President, Ricky Skerrit said McMorris was a “true stalwart of the game and contributed significantly at all levels on and off the field.”
McMorris made his Test debut for West Indies against Pakistan at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad in 1958 in a team alongside Sir Everton Weekes, Sir Garfield Sobers and Sir Conrad Hunter. He played 15 Test matches and scored one century — 125 against India at Sabina Park, Jamaica in 1962.
