Brooklyn Dems relentless in ensuring every vote counts in Presidential Elections
With less than a week until the election of the next president and vice president, the Brooklyn Democratic Party says it has been relentlessly making sure that every single vote counts and voice gets heard towards electing Democratic candidates from Brooklyn’s nominees to Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
“The Brooklyn Democratic Party is committed to ensuring a Harris-Walz victory and Democratic control of the House and Senate,” Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn told Caribbean Life over the weekend.
“We’re taking action in key areas that will decide our nation’s future and uniting Brooklynites to help build a brighter future,” added the daughter of Haitian immigrants, who represents the 42nd Assembly District in Brooklyn.
Bichotte-Hermelyn said the party’s bus trips over the past several weekends have included GOTV campaigns in Pennsylvania, and helping Democratic Congressional candidates win hotly-contested races by canvassing in Rockland County, Nanuet (NY – 17) for Hon. Mondaire Jones and in Nassau County, Elmont, for Lauren Gillen (NY – 4).
She said the Brooklyn Democratic Party has also been “laser-focused on keeping our borough blue.”
Bichotte-Hermelyn also noted some of the more competitive races in which the Brooklyn Democratic Party has been “doing a lot of get out the vote efforts”, adding that the party is also “supporting ALL Democratic candidates”: Joey Cohen-Saban for NYS Assembly (AD 45);
Christopher McCreight for NYS Assembly (AD 46); Hemalee Patel for Judge, Kings County Civil Court; and Iwen Chu for NYS Senate (re-election, SD 17).
