Assembly Member Brian A. Cunningham opens new office in District 43
“My life purpose or mission for living is to connect people to opportunity,” stated Assembly Member, Brian A. Cunningham while opening his new district office on Friday, Sept. 23 located at 249 Empire Blvd., Brooklyn, NY 11225 at the corner of Rogers Avenue. After being elected on March 30, 2022, Cunningham is staying focused on serving constituents, writing legislation, hosting events, and actively engaging with the community.
With extreme excitement and enthusiasm, Brian’s team is here to welcome and assist the constituents of the community. This new office is a breath of fresh air and a positive space for the members of District 43. In honoring his vision, the newly elected assembly member hosted a “principals breakfast meet and greet” which took place on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022. This pre-opening breakfast gathered all principals from Assembly District 43. In this meeting, Cunningham discussed the issues the principals would like the assembly member to change and focus on and introduced himself in person to these principals.
Moreover, the office will soon be hosting several workshops on art, culture, and mental health programs for new mothers or single mothers, immigration, and public safety. Brian A. Cunningham is dedicated to provides a space for youth and others to express their creative ideas and assist with their specific needs. Furthermore, to make unlawful immigrants feel hopeful about the future of their children and themselves. The workshop surrounding citizenship will be a pathway for people to attain their citizenship and an effective way. Courses will be provided to combat mental health and public safety measures. For example, according to Eyewitness News, a mother of three children drowned her seven-year-old boy, a four-year-old girl, and a three-and-a-half-month-old girl in Coney Island beach. Several reports stated that the mother was experiencing severe mental health issues due to a pending eviction, unpaid bills, and custody battles. Also, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, around 5:15 a.m., a woman was brutally beaten at the Howard Beach-JFK Airport train station. As more issues like these will continue to arise, Cunningham is consistent and will map out an impactful solution.
Constituents who are struggling with their mental health, in need of citizenship assistance and public safety concerns can visit the office or call.
