Liberty Bible Fellowship to visit Guyana after spirit-filled Easter Service in Queens

A packed congregation of exuberant worshipers was touched by the words of the Lord last Sunday, Resurrection Day, during an hours-long sermon at Liberty Fellowship Church in Ozone Park, Queens. This sermon was delivered before the ministry’s 24-hour prayer and worship on May 9 in Guyana. The ecumenical worship will begin at 12 a.m.

Guyanese-American Pastor Joe Persaud, who founded the ministry 5 years ago, and initiated a “Hope is Rising” outreach program to engage other nations, spoke of the high suicide rate in the Republic, and added, “We’re going to tell Georgetown Guyana the north the south the east and the west, this is God’s country and this is God’s people and we have come to worship, praise, and  pray.”

“We will shout out to Guyana in the power of God to turn the nation around in the name of Jesus just like how God took suicide and made it dive after 20 years, what it means it reduced substantially, but I’m declaring that after May 9, raise your hands in affirmation, that the churches will not be divided, territorial rights will be out of the way, people will put aside their differences, and protocol, people will put aside their titles, and their  ecclesiastical levels and become humbly before God and sing and shout and pray.

If my people are called by my name, they shall humble themselves and pray and seek my name and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven this is not a political movement, this is not a cooperate movement, this is a God movement, and anybody who is on God’s side shouts Hallelujah. I want you to say, mountain, you shall be removed. Everything I say shall be done.”

We are expanding the gospel. God has brought this burden on us that we must go to Guyana as a catalyst for the rest of the world. Guyana has a lot of money but does not bring unity, peace, and godliness. It brings a lot of hopelessness sometimes, but what we want to do is to show that God can turn things around when the Christians pray, when the believers come together when we lift up the name of Jesus.

From John’s book, Pastor Persaud said, “I am the resurrection and the life, and he that believe it in me though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever lived and believeth in me shall never die.

The lustily singing of “The Goodness of God,” “Praise My Redeemer Lives,“The Old Rugged Cross,” and shouts of he is alive, hallelujah, Get up out of that Grave,” bellowed in the church., as the preacher prayed for congregants, saying.

“God is reaching you right where you are. I thank God for all of you; I thank God for his power, his blessings, his anointing in the mighty name of Jesus, he said as worshipers waved their hands, danced, and jumped in the air with exuberance.

God wants you to know there’s victory over the grave, oh death, where is thy sting? He was able to show he was not afraid of death; to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord, exulted the preacher.

“The Lord will not allow people to be used by the devil. You need to understand that not all setbacks are setbacks, for your defeat, but a setback is a setup for a comeback so that you could have a better existence after you’ve gone through what you have experienced, said the enthusiastic clergyman.

Pastor Persaud lifted the followers with his inspiring message and reminded them that the church is a multi-cultural sanctuary, with nationals from the Caribbean, Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Taiwan, and China, but noted that most evident were Guyanese, and said “some of you were in hospital,  some were given a bad report from doctors but look what God has done for you this morning. He raised you up and put you on solid ground. My God is good. We came to worship him, and all of you are here for Easter. This is Resurrection Sunday.”

The celebration was showered with blessings and featured a reenactment skit of Jesus on the cross. During the memorable presentation, the Sunday school preteens and teens also delivered an inspiring liturgical chirography.

The church will also host a Friends and Family service on Sunday, April 27.
