Queen Divas Body Sculpting owner empowers students at Olympus Academy’s Career Week

Sharnell Ellerby, owner and founder of Queen Divas Body Sculpting & Esthetics Academy in Franklin Square in Nassau Country, Long Island, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration after surviving a near-fatal motorcycle accident.

Caroline Seepersaud – daughter of Guyanese and Haitian immigrants, a junior publicist with the Brooklyn-based PlaybookMG, an entertainment and lifestyle consulting firm – told Caribbean Life on Tuesday that this life-altering experience ignited within Ellerby “a profound realization of her greater purpose.”

“Now, she dedicates herself to motivating others in her community to pursue their dreams and cherish the gift of life,” said Seepersaud, stating that, on March 27, Ellerby “proudly announced her participation in Olympus Academy’s Career Day,” held in Canarsie.

She said Olympus Academy, a transfer school designed to assist students who have dropped out or fallen behind on credits, “provides a platform for individuals like Sharnell to share their journey and inspire future generations.

“Career Day aims to connect students with professionals from diverse fields, providing insights into different career paths and encouraging them to envision future possibilities,” said Seepersaud, adding that Ellerby, a self-made entrepreneur, joined a panel discussion to share her success story and expertise in the esthetic industry.

Following the panel, Seepersaud said students engaged in classroom sessions for more personalized insights and had a chance to ask follow-up questions about the industry and entrepreneurship.

“Sharnell’s achievements as a businesswoman in the beauty and wellness sector serve as a guiding light for many aspiring professionals,” she said. “Her contribution to the industry through Queen Divas Body Sculpting has not only shaped her career but also has a positive impact on her community.”

Ellerby said: “We at Queen Divas Body Sculpting were delighted to connect with the talented students of Olympus Academy. It was an honor to participate in shaping the minds of future leaders and entrepreneurs.”

She said Queen Divas Body Sculpting provides “top-of-the-line non-invasive body sculpting services, facials, and massages, among other treatments emphasizing beauty, wellness, and health.”

Ellerby said the establishment not only offers services but also provides educational courses for those interested in pursuing a career in the thriving esthetics field.
