All roads lead to NJ Caribbean family fun day

The Caribbean American Fun Day Committee in partnership with New Jersey Assemblymember Britnee N. Timberlake of District 34, is excited to announce the return of the largest free outdoor fun day, and cultural entertainment for adults and children in State, set for Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The impressive lineup of artistes, that include Guyanese Soca Queen, Shelly G, PartyZone Sounds, among others, will take over Monte Irvin (Orange Park), a new location, at Center & South Harrison streets in Orange, New Jersey, after two years of being halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The committee in association with C.A.U.S.E, the NJ Cricket Association, the Guyana American Heritage Foundation (GAHF), and NJ Guyanese American Foundation has put in place a no-grilling/no-alcoholic beverages, no-vending mandate in place, but will allow families to bring picnic baskets, chairs and tents, as the community gather to bring back the day of enjoyment to the town that was severely impacted by the lockdown.

The event is being sponsored by Essex County Board of Commissioners.
