Skerritt and CEO Johnny Grave are both looking forward to the partnership with USA Cricket unlocking more possibilities for game in the Caribbean and in North America.

Grave said CWI was delighted that the ICC has announced that “our bid to host the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup has been successful” adding “it is really important to us and our strategic plan to grow the sport in the USA Cricket on a number of initiatives.”
“It is also part of a more wider ICC strategy to grow the sport in the USA and hopefully this event in 2024 will lead on similar ICC events hosted in the women’s game. And this is all part of a bigger build up of plans to try and get cricket back in the Olympics and to be at the games in LA (Los Angeles) in 2028,” Grave said.
Skerritt said  putting in a solo bid to host the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup was not an option and insisted that partnership with USA cricket will be mutually beneficial to both parties.
