Young, talented Lawman Lynch to run for NY City Council

Long time Brooklyn resident, Lawman Lynch has recently announced his candidacy for the NY City 41st Council District, if elected Lynch will have the opportunity to represent areas such as Brownsville, parts of Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, parts of East Flatbush and East New York, and a section of Ocean Hill.

The race for this 41st is not until November 2025, but the young and gifted Jamaican is ensuring that the district, knows him well and become expose to some of the community programs he has been involved in for years in the neighborhoods.

Lawman Lynch came into the United States in 2010, after surviving political violence in his native land, Jamaica and has nestled and seriously engaged himself in the same community he is now seeking to represent. Since then, the young Lynch has occupied his time working with community leaders in the churches, businesses, and political spectrum in Brooklyn. In addition, Lynch is the CEO of CariGlo Diaspora LLC, a human service and fintech company.

An avid believer in education, health care and business development. He prioritizes homework help and STEM education for students. He strongly believes that the district he hopes to serve needs resources and noted that he will work in the council to help provide the neighborhoods with the resources it needs. “The district has some of the most underserved schools and we will concentrate on after school programs where we can strengthen them,” Lynch noted.

Lynch said if given the opportunity to represent the district, he will work on the problem of mental health now facing the community. “We want to address the mental health issue that is especially affecting our young people. What we will do is look at the neighborhood health clinics that are not focusing or addressing mental health and work with them. Provide resources and see how these clinics can help address the preliminary stages of mental health,” Mr. Lynch stated.

He was a recipient of the Citizen Security and Justice Program (CSJP) Community Development Awards, one of the Caribbean Life’s Newspaper 20 Under 40 Trailblazer awardees, the founder of Lawman Lynch Foundation Inc, (LLF), a New York based non-profit organization that focusses on the child, youth, and community development. Supporting programs both in the United States and Jamaica.

Lynch holds a BA in Communication and a master’s in educational leadership and is a PHD candidate focusing on Ethical Leadership in Education, the Private, and Public Sectors.

The multi-faceted Lynch is also an author, musician who sees himself a lifelong learner dedicated to facilitating the upward mobility of those he serves.
